In the village of Kyar Si, in Sagaing region, a dozen local businesses have already switched to solar energy to power up their commercial activities.
This entrepreneur, who processes beans, rice and flour, used to rely on diesel for his activity but has now shifted to solar to power up his motor. Thanks to solar energy coming from a solar hybrid mini-grid, he is able to save a lot on fuel and also free the whole neighbourhood from the previous noise pollution.
